Research Overview

The crisis brought by the COVID-19 has had a far-reaching impact on international governance and cooperation. Global divisions are growing, east-west relations are tense, north-south economic development is not coordinated, the rift between China and the United States is widening, and the wealth gap between developed and developing countries is widening. All these have brought new challenges and opportunities for international cooperation in the post-epidemic era.

The report presents the current state of international cooperation and research at the School of Agriculture and Biology of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and analyzes the opportunities and challenges for global cooperation in agricultural education and science and technology in the post epidemic era. It also seeks breakthroughs in strengthening cooperation among countries along the “Belt and Road,” launching online education, enhancing agricultural science and technology demonstration and achievement extension, and improving administration management systems.
